Stick with shades of black, not colors.

The ’80s and ’90s are long past, and we’d like to think so are the days of colored tint. In fact, some states have bans on certain colors for vehicle tint (North and South Carolina ban shades of red and yellow, for example). Most states have bans on any shade of red or blue window tint, presumably saving those colors for law enforcement.
